Loyd was born  on Jan. 21, 1919 in Los Angele County, California.

Mother, Esther Amanda (Paulson) Adamson.

Sister, Eugina Elna Adamson.

Spouse, Beverly Ann Adamson.

 

Loyd entered  the service from Los Angeles, California in Dec. 8, 1941 with service number # 19062473.

 

Loyd W. Adamson rank/duty was a 1st Lieutenant/Pilot (P-51) in the 446th Bomber Squadron.

 

Loyd was KIA-MIA in the Fight with 3 German Focke Wulf-190 over the Target Area, on Mar. 14, 1945, and he is honored with the an Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Good Combat Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

His remains have been recovered.

 

And he is mentioned/buried at Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, Florence, Provincia di Firenze, Toscana, Italy.
