Norman entered  the Service from Michigan with service-number # 3124822.

 

Norman was KIA when the ship got several hits and Sunk at the Battle off Samar, Philippines, on Oct. 25, 1944, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Norman is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
