Victor was born  in New York.

 

Father, Rosario Abate.

Mother, Annuciato Abate.

Both born in Italy.

 

Victor entered  the service from New York with serial # 8104588.

 

 

Victor E. Abate was Killed in Action on board the USS Franklin, when attacked by a Kamikaze, on March 19, 1945, and he is honored with the Purple Heart.

 

Victor is buried at Honolulu Memorial ,Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
