Kitan was born on, 1923 in Rumford, Oxford County, Maine.

Kitan enlisted the Army in Ft. Devens, Massachusetts on March 4, 1943 with service number # 11079289.

Kitan ‘s rank/duty was a Second Lieutenant/Second Battalion/Unit Commander E-Comp.in the 330th Infantry Regiment.

Kitan was KIA outside the town of Negenborn, Germany in combat with German Soldiers on April 8, 1945,  Kitan A. Agostinelli is honored with a Purple Heart, Good Combat Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

Kitan is buried/mentioned at Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten,
Eijsden-Margraten Municipality, Limburg, Netherlands.
