Breaching the Siegfried Line
Germany's Westwall, or Siegfried Line, stood in the way of Allied forces making a swift invasion into Germany from the west. The wall was comprised of three-foot high concrete obstacles called "dragon's teeth." They were often wired, surrounded by mines, and covered by Nazi machine guns and indirect fire.
