Roy entered  the Service from Texas with service-number # 3567341.

 

Roy was KIA during the Battle for the Eastern Solomons when the USS Enterprise was hit several time’s, on Aug. 24, 1942, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Roy is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
